Marketing and Public Relations Manager

FORTHGEAR, a busy integrated marketing, communications and design company, established in 1995, is looking for a qualified Marketing and Public Relations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver marketing and communications strategies on behalf of FORTHGEAR itself.
  • Ability to lead people and manage processes. Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team.
  • Work closely with the business development team, and company principals, to develop proposals and business development objectives — providing appropriate tools, materials, proposals and presentations.
  • Maintain and develop high-touch, client relationships.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets.
  • Oversee implementation of marketing strategy for a variety of clients – including campaigns, events, digital marketing and PR.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets.
  • Ensure that client marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team.
  • Contribute to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; provide pertinent information and commentary; recommend options and courses of action; implement directives.
  • Qualitative market research, continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends, and related coordination.
  • Participate in the development of client branding studies and corporate identity initiatives.
  • Copy writing, editing and proofing. Generate content for a number of client purposes, including press releases, brochures, websites, video scripts, social media posts, blogs, etc.
  • Public relations, including client press release writing and distribution, publicity and event support.
  • Developing and managing online advertising campaigns.
  • Understanding of online marketing practices, including SEO, social media, lead generation, performance analytics and related.
  • Basic understanding and ability to run automated email campaigns and targeted outreach campaigns utilizing an automated marketing system.
  • Video project planning, scoping, scripting and storyboarding with video production team.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Well-organized and detail oriented
  • Manage multiple tasks and project prioritization
  • Able to work both independently and within a team to meet deadlines and accomplish goals
  • Good people skills and ability to work in and around a creative, multi-generational environment
  • Experience preference: 3-5 years of proven industry background
  • Educational preference: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or a related degree.
