The Davis County Commission approved a new logo and tag line at their October 12, 2011 meeting following a 19-month search. The new logo is blue and green with an interconnecting 'D' and "C" and a tag line of "Connects. You." FORTHGEAR created the logo and tag line after being awarded the contract in June.
Davis county leaders felt that the timing was right to rethink and rebrand Davis County as a new county facility is nearing completion and the county continues to seek after new and greater economic opportunities.
"Davis County has been known for and is moving forward in a greater way as a player in connecting people with jobs, good business opportunities, and the best in quality of life. Now we are also moving to brand ourselves with a new brand that reflects those connections and the county's future direction," said Davis County Commissioner Louenda H. Downs.
"As a business that had its genesis in Davis County 16 years ago, it was exciting for us to participate in this rebranding process. We recognize the progress the county has made in attracting good companies and businesses to Davis County. The new logo and tag line will now help reenergize those efforts and better explain Davis County's mission," said Brett Gee, president of FORTHGEAR.

FORTHGEAR designs new UCAT logo; provides brand imaging for Utah College of Applied Technology
Kaysville, UT — FORTHGEAR has recently completed a new logo and brand imaging for the Utah College of Applied Technology (UCAT), a technology college system with 8 campuses throughout Utah. The logo is in the process of being implemented in a variety of the schools’ marketing materials including business cards, stationery system, brochures, advertisements, school schedules and website.
UCAT had requested a new logo that was progressive, simplified and "felt" technical in nature — reflecting the students they served and classes they offered. They also desired a strong mark that would reflect UCAT’s "parent" status and serve as a complimentary logo in tandem with the individual campus logos.
To this point, the individual campus logos and names were much more visibly present and recognizable than UCAT as a whole. Communities knew about the individual campuses, but didn’t really know that the schools were interconnected and that UCAT, as an entity, existed.
UCAT recognized that they needed a branding overhaul and that there was great strength in educating the public that all 8 campuses offered similar class offerings, served a much-needed educational role in their communities and together represented the second largest group of post-secondary students in Utah (only Brigham Young University had a higher student enrollment*).
